Asian Monologues story release and ownership terms

This page explains rights and responsibilities for story submissions. It is a plain-language summary for contributors and production teams.

Ownership

  • You retain ownership of your original story.
  • You can continue sharing or publishing your original story elsewhere unless you enter a separate written exclusivity agreement.

Rights granted to AHB / Asian Monologues

  • You grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to edit, adapt, rehearse, and perform your submitted story for festival and educational programming.
  • You grant permission to record and distribute excerpts or productions tied to that adaptation in festival, marketing, archival, and educational channels.
  • Credit will be provided where practical.

Your contributor affirmations

  • You affirm this is your story, or you have permission to submit and authorize this material.
  • If your submission includes other identifiable people, media, or music, you confirm you have permission to include them.
  • You agree your signature is your legal acknowledgement of these terms.
