Volunteer Communications and Code of Conduct Agreement
Last updated: February 19, 2026
This agreement applies to all volunteers participating in Asian Art & Heritage Festival operations, including festival-wide and event-specific assignments.
1. Respect and inclusion
Volunteers are expected to treat guests, artists, staff, vendors, and fellow volunteers with respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and abusive conduct are not allowed.
2. Safety and compliance
Volunteers agree to follow festival safety guidance, emergency procedures, and site instructions from authorized team leads. Unsafe behavior may result in reassignment or removal from volunteer duties.
3. Assignment reliability and check-in
Volunteers should arrive on time, complete assigned responsibilities, and use the official check-in/check-out process when required. Recognition and contribution credit may depend on confirmed participation records.
4. Communications consent
By volunteering, you consent to operational communications by email and phone/text for scheduling, updates, safety alerts, and role follow-up. You may opt out of non-essential promotional messaging.
5. Information handling
Volunteers may receive access to attendee or partner information needed for operations. This information must be handled responsibly and never shared outside authorized festival workflows.
6. Conflict escalation
If a safety or conduct issue occurs, volunteers should notify the nearest lead, check-in desk, or operations coordinator immediately so the issue can be documented and resolved.
7. Festival discretion
The festival may update assignments, suspend volunteer access, or remove volunteers from participation when conduct, safety, or operational requirements are not met.
